Composed of USIT alumni, the Giving Committee is the governing body of the USIT Foundation. The Giving Committee sets annual giving objectives, philanthropic focus areas, and final recommendations for fund distribution. The Giving Committee works closely with the student-led analyst team throughout the year, providing guidance and direction in the diligence process for determining donation opportunities and charities.
Chairperson
Angela is an MBA/MPP Candidate at Harvard University, currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. She was previously an Associate at BDT & MSD Partners. A member of the inaugural PIT team, she was the first recidivism portfolio manager, served as USIT President, and graduated from UT Austin in 2020 with majors in business honors and finance. She has prior experience working to help homeless youth and undocumented workers, and she is passionate about issues relating to justice and opportunity.
Matt Rindelaub | Member
Matt is a Senior Analyst at Point72, a leading global alternative investment firm. An inaugural member of the Giving Committee, he graduated from UT Austin in 2016 with degrees in finance and economics. He previously served as Director of Investment for USIT from 2015-2016.
Taha Siddiki | Member
Eddie is an Investor at Conenexa Capital in New York City. A Portfolio Manager for the inaugural PIT team, he graduated from UT Austin in 2021 with a degree in finance. Outside of work, he enjoys playing competitive Spikeball.
Benedikt Kroll | Member
Benedikt is a Portfolio Manager at Millennium, an investment management firm and one of the world's largest alternative asset management firms. He was the Director of Investment for USIT from 2013-2015 and graduated from UT Austin in 2016 with degrees in business honors and finance.
Chengxi Gang | Member
Chengxi is an Investment Banking Analyst at Moelis & Company, currently based in New York City. A member of PIT's second analyst class, he was the President and Director of Philanthropy from 2023-2024. He graduated in 2025 with degrees in BHP, Plan II, and finance.
Ariel Johnson | Member
Ariel is an Investment Intermediate Analyst at Allstate in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from UT Austin in 2022 with majors in business honors and economics and minors in german and real estate. In her free time, Ariel’s hobbies include calisthenics and powerlifting.
